R.I.P. Peter Green
Not only did he inspire the great line "they got a mystery blowjob that turn your peter green" (from "In France"), he also composed "Black Magic Woman," which Frank quoted several times in live shows. --- Geothermal terpsichorean ejectamenta ... Copied to Clipboard!

More Prince/Zappa connections: I'm reading Matt Thorne's Prince biography right now, and he claims that "Darling Nikki" was inspired (lyrics-wise) by "The Torture Never Stops." Eh, maybe, but I don't find this very likely. As far as I know, Prince has never mentioned Zappa as an influence. Thorne's main argument seems to be "both Zoot Allures and Prince's stuff came out on Warner Bros.," which I don't find very convincing.
Of course, the infamous PMRC is also mentioned in the book, as they went after Prince hard during the whole labeling controversy. --- Geothermal terpsichorean ejectamenta ... Copied to Clipboard!
