just got a new 55" samsung in, and there's a single pixel stuck on red a little off of the middle of the screen

have ran a few of those color-flashing videos to no avail, and i feel like an idiot for being bothered by it (cause it's 99.9% indiscernible), but ugh, i wish it wasn't there

My old DS from 2005 has had a stack of two stuck red at the top of its bottom screen since the day I got it, but it never really bothered me since it was out of the way.

Yes, literally anywhere. I can never un-notice things like that once I notice them. Sometimes there's a dead pixel in RDR2 in the very top left corner when fishing, and I look at it every single time without fail.

Demand a refund/replacement right now. The longer you wait, the harder it'll be.

oh wow, was not expecting these responses

despite being the one who made the topic, i think that i might just end up dealing with it tbh

like, it's literally only noticeable to me if i display a completely white screen and get right up-close to it (and even then it always takes me a few seconds to find it)

it was also an online order, and i threw away a lot of the packaging (only have the cardboard box and the styrofoam left), so exchanging it might be a pain too

It'll go your way if you don't make excuses for them. I once returned a 600 dollar computer after I used it for a week to get over my Minecraft addiction lol. I told them it had a slight problem with running things at the same time, which it did. Got a full refund. It wasn't my intention but it worked out in my favor cause I didn't need it

That sounds suspect. The saying isn't "The manufacturer is always right". I feel like an assertive enough tone would bypass that. Who are you dealing with? Cause I want to avoid them and their shenanigans

No that's bullshit. Doesn't matter who you have to talk to, they sent you a defective product and they need to answer for that. Either get a full refund or a new TV, don't accept no for an answer.
