Shoulda went with Norse gods tbh. norse mythology has never been as famous or popular as Greek/Roman in fact I think most people even know about norse mythology is a relatively new thing, and mostly thanks to Marvel Comics btw, Thor was originally gonna be Hercules. Stan Lee's first instinct was to make a Greek super hero. But then he decided it was too stereotypical. so he wracked his brain for a less known mythology to be more unique I remember when I first found out about norse myths in grade school, I didn't even know what the word norse meant. but I knew what greek myths were so one day in my school library I found a book about "norse myths" and I just grabbed it right away cause it was new ... "Monday" is from "Mona", not "Mani" (also no relationship to any gods, just a translation from the Latin). And Saturday comes from Saturn.
