Cause my PC got a virus thingy and it's not going away so I might just reinstall Windows even though I don't want to...

I really don't like having to re get all of my programs and what not...

Just run like every (reputable) virus/malware/registry cleaner you can and do a system restore if possible. I assume you've probably tried stuff like that already but I don't know what you've done.

I remember getting some of those ones that take over your browser's search engine and I have no idea how I eventually got rid of them, but they were like the worst I've gotten in terms of persistence

I basically use SuperAntiSpyWare. That hasn't been working so I also got MalWarBytes. But neither of them have gotten it and I've been waiting since the 13th. I'm about at my limit for waiting for it to be found.

I don't know what other programs to use since I haven't had this happen in quite some time.

I'm trying to avoid the same. It's weird that Malwarebytes reported nothing and drive scans came back clean. Haven't yet found a reason why my PC takes over 20 minutes to reboot or on random mornings the drive light is on and the system unresponsive for some time. Works fine otherwise it seems.

Depends on the version. I found Windows 7 should be redone like every 1 to 2 years before it gets really overloaded. Windows 10 is a lot better, but the recent updates have been proving to be weird. I think my current runs are a little over a year old.

I'm using Win10 right now. I've been using it for not even a year now.

Did the reinstall on Tuesday, wasn't that bad. Not as annoying as I felt it was the last time I have to do that.
