It's a bartender's responsibility to make sure not to over serve anyone. If someone is over served and something happens to that person (Or anyone else), the establishment/bartender can get into a lot of trouble.

I always thought this was a load tbh. It shouldnt be the bartenders responsibility to babysit but we live in a society.

4 in an hour and a half, he obviously didn't count his beer as a drink for some reason. But yeah that would have been his 5th.

I totally agree but, unfortunately, the government/courts disagree with us.

I bartend. People without a limit is probably my biggest anxiety because the difference between comfortably tipsy and way too drunk can be a drink. And if youre busy, its difficult to keep track of how theyre doing

No, and my bar isnt a college spot so we dont get a ton in here. The girls here are purposefully attractive, though, and Ive been dating one for over half a year.

Tipping is important anywhere you go in the US. Your food handlers dont get paid a wage and typically tip other people out. Unless specified otherwise.

Edit: custom is 15-20% for larger tabs with food, $1 a drink (unless its an expensive cocktail)

Yeah I guess. I'm just not use to having bartenders question me. Probably has to do with the fact that I was the only one going to the bar at the time
