Not sure exactly what you mean, but a lot of people from that generation were extremely patriotic. My grandfather who also served in WWII was that patriotic too.

I think @Firewood18 is just referring to the physique of pre-serum Steve Rogers.

Not everyone is gifted with a huge body. Some are just born with wiry frames.
