Meaning clearing palace in one day, yes boss fight is whenever you send calling card.
Its kinda tough to clear palaces in one go on your first playthrough, so id say don't bother but try to be efficient.
You can buy sp recovery accessory from Takemi

and remember that there are a few palaces that cant be completed in a single day because of an obstacle you need to clear in the real world before its gone from the cognitive one

Oh yah definitely, two palaces you will be forced out. So you can finish them only in two attempts

during a special weather if you go into mementos and run into the reaper he can start the battle with the despair status effect.

It has to be flu season, which is certain dates in November-december, you can google flu dates

this is only my second time playing it
i played it when it was new and i decided to max out all my social stats first. courage, kindness, ect
it would be easier to max out all the confidants with max social stats from the start of the game
so i only focused on a few confidants but not even half of them. a power outtage when my ps4 was on corrupted the data and everything was lost. all my hard work so i couldnt do a new game plus with maxed social stats.

so this time im just gonna focus on the confidants and max out my social stats when i can

You should be able to do that, it's been a while since I played tho. Worst case scenario, the game doesn't let you fuse personas that are too high level so you won't lose anything.

Yeah, you can still use 'em if the level boost makes them exceed your level. That's why I mostly prefer to fuse something only if I can get a boost out of it. Which reminds me of something. When you establish the Judgement Confidant, I wouldn't bother trying to fuse any until later. You technically have it established, but the exp boost doesn't take effect until after you catch up to the interrogation scene in the present.

The limited time thing really worries me. The game is just explaining social links and all I have up is a bare barebones guide for a general each day thing right now. All I've done is make some tools, study a couple times, go for a run with ryuji, and take random drugs for the doctor so I could buy more and/or work for her? Is doing drugs working for her?

This game has so many layers and is confusing on what to do when. Should I just have multiple guides up to switch in between, or kinda wing it on my first play?

Honestly, just wing it. This is why I recommended not stressing too much about doing everything at first. Best way to enjoy a first playthrough of Persona 3-5 is to just immerse yourself in the world and focus on mainly doing what interests you. There's some stuff you can only do on NG+ anyway if you still want to go for all Social Links/Confidants next playthough.

If you want to get everything. You have to use a detailed guide.
I love jrpgs. But this was one game that was absolute torture to me. Boring as hell, limiting as hell. Story drags on about 30-40 hours past where it should end. Art direction is amazing. And honestly is it wasn't for that I would have stopped after about 10 hours.
Let me boil down the whole story as snarkily yet as honestly as it is "Damn adults! Always fucking hating on us teens! We know better than all of them! Because we're pure(?) or some shit." Repeat for whole game. And the most interesting aspects of the story is honestly the first scenario. That's literally it. And it gets rather annoying hearing it. Don't expect much.

Now he wants to hangout again with a morning cutscene. Like damn man I need to go explore, study, take random drugs, and find a way to increase all of my other social stuff like charm and guts or whatever.

only 3 really required a detailed guide to get all the social links
it was very unforgiving and if you wanted to max out all the social links (what confidants used to be called)
you had no wiggle room to do anything and had to follow a step by step guide to pull it off

4 and 5 are more forgiving and its easier to max out all of them in a single playthrough
but even if you fail thats what newgameplus is for

That's one thing I like about Ryuji, he's easy to rank up. You could easily have him rank 10 by the 3rd Palace even. Speaking of Ryuji, when he learns Swift Strike (sometime during the 4th Palace IIRC), he basically doesn't any other phys skill until the end of the game pretty much, that move is so OP. And he learns an all party phys buff and Power Charge. So basically Ryuji is OP.

Ann's Confidant doesn't advance until after the 1st Palace's arc.

- Don't waste time leveling your bond with Sojiro until after (I think) the fourth palace. I won't spoil why but there is a soft cap on his bond until that palace is complete.

- Save scum when trying to increase social stats. In my experience Guts and Charm were the hardest. Feed your plant every week or two to increase kindness. The better the plant food the more XP you get. Look up quiz answers for easy knowledge. Proficiency is also easy if you keep making lock picks.

- Always make sure to have a book on hand in case you get extra time to read on the subway. Otherwise don't read/study.

- Avoid cross word puzzles. They're a complete waste of time. Also hold off on any laundry or coffee until you increase your bond with the maid.

This just reminded me of something. Normally you're supposed to just go to bed the night before a heist, but you're actually still able to craft tools or brew coffee/cook curry beforehand, so make sure to take advantage of that from now on.

This just reminded me of something. Normally you're supposed to just go to bed the night before a heist, but you're actually still able to craft tools or brew coffee/cook curry beforehand, so make sure to take advantage of that from now on.

I kinda figured, I think I did my lock picks like that last time but it's good to be sure. Definitely need to stock up on sp regens.

I just named my team and went with CEO although I doubt it matters much if at all really.

you can also get the coffee from the diner which you can go to for studying which will not only raise your knowledge but another stat based on what you ordered

raising the social stats isnt hard the hard part is balancing raising them without ignoring your confidants because everything takes up your time

For the TV you bought, you can rent DVDs on Central Street (very first building on the right) which can also raise your stats. It takes two views to complete a dvd and they have a rental period of a week. Be mindful of when you rent them because the story can eat up several consecutive days in which you cannot return it.

since they had to cut hifumi out as a party member because of the lack of time creating a whole new character to take her place wouldnt be the case because it would take longer to create a whole new character

Haru lacks any real development and didn't really contribute to the plot at all. It feels like Hifune was scrapped in order to make room for her but they rushed it pretty bad.

no there is a diner near big bang burger where you can go to study
when you are studying you can order either coffee or a steak
the steak raises your charm for some reason
and the coffee raises your guts because it takes guts to spend so long in a restaurant and order nothing but coffee.

you cant finish the big bang burger until you have the right stats at the right level but just trying always raises your guts and the studying also raises your knowledge
once you have enough social stats to finish it then eating the burger raises multiple stats

Charm is easy now, but once you unlock more evening confidants you won't want to waste every night taking baths.

You can do two things with the TV: buy a DVD player to rent movies (which increases social stats) or buy an Atari which (I think) also increases social stats.

On a side note about the movies, there is a book that you can buy which helps your understanding of movies. Buy and read this one ASAP because once you read it movies give you more social XP.

For guts, someone already mentioned the burger joint. You can also get guts by showering when it's raining and staying in the bath for an extended time. You also have a chance to get guts by studying in the library. Neither guts increase is guaranteed though. That's why I suggested a save scum before doing these events to maximize social XP.

also its kind of weird that the message of ann's story is that she shouldnt be treated as a sex object but the games costumes kind of missed that memo
her default battle outfit is sin tight latex with a cleavage and jiggle physics while her christmas costume is booty shorts, with devil ears to show she is a sexy santa

it wouldnt bother me so much if it didnt completely clash with the storyline she had during the komoshida incident

remember the goal is to complete the palace in a single day so you have more time to focus solely on the confidants and social stats.

I'm basically out of sp except for my healing team. Only have hp moves and wanted to make it to level 16 before taking a day off to do some stuff. Then coming back and repeating that tbh

I really want to work at that diner and get the optional Confidant there and maybe rank up Ann if possible. I'm only on day one of palace 2 5/18

Also in the future can I let multiple(3 or more) mementos requests pile up a little and do them all at once? Or risky due to reaper?

Terrible idea. Just wait for the flu season then go to Mementos and "fight" the Reaper if you want to grind like that.
