he should have just gotten that from the beginning and only that. I don't know why if he's promised his own trilogy, why he got to steal a movie from Abram's trilogy

They were impressed enough with his work on TLJ that they gave him his own trilogy. Also Abrams was originally not going to be the director for Ep IX, so calling it "his" trilogy is a little inaccurate. AlecSkorpio posted...
