If there is a topic about items, there is an 90% chance it's from someone complaining about turning items off and saying items are "more fun". Back in the Melee and Brawl days I was always on those boards, they were my main boards, and very rarely you'd see a topic complaining about people turning items on, but every other day there's a topic of someone complaining about no items. In the general board such as CE, I cannot remember if I ever saw a topic created by someone who prefers no items to bash the people who play with items. If you're playing for chaotic fun, then they're fun. I kind of wish there was a mode that didn't have any stats attached to it. Honestly, items only really serve to widen the gap between good and bad players. And the rng explosion bs can be more frustrating than not.
