but later on he really does feel like more of a member of the crew. They made him godfather of a baby!

The Doctor was a good character until:
- He became so thirsty for T of A that is entire character was warped around it.
- He became so entitled that he could do no wrong and arrogant.

This is largely the issue I have with later seasons of VOY. The cast was reduced to episodes of either Janeway, The Doctor or Seven.

With plotlines varying between:
- Some thirsty Aliens want to steal or do something (experiment on, drug, body swap etc) to Seven.
- The Doctor has a stick up his ass about something
- Janeway didnt drink her Coffee this morning and suddenly forgets the exact same situation they were in before thus leading her to doing the opposite of last time. Feeling very self righteous and hypocritical at the same time.

Chakotay could've been replaced by a cardboard cutout and we wouldve never noticed.

That's really the only episode I didn't like him in, everything else was great. Robert Picardo was the best thing in Voyager.

I know for sure he was really pissed off with that episode where they find one of the original Earth spaceships because it was meant to be about Chakotay but they turned it into a Seven of Nine episode.

That's the one I could never get my head around, if they wanted her gone to do a plot like that with Seven and the kid they had a perfect chance to kill Samantha Wildman off, and instead made the episode have a happy ending where she pulled through but never showed her on screen again while Naomi gets more screentime than half the people with names in the opening credits.

I always loved Voyager. Trashy bipolar Janeway logic writing and all. Yeah it did revolve around Seven, The Doctor and Janeway almost exclusively in the later seasons.
But even back then I would just think, "Do I really want to see more of Paris, Kim or Chakotay? Nope."
Maybe they could have done something interesting will all them if they tried but idk. Point is they didn't and by season 5 even it would have been a waste of time to try.

Janeway being loud and stupid, The Doctor being uptight and snarky and Seven doing her "This is stupid and I have no time for your rules." routine while walking around in her catsuit was better than episodes that focused on the others imho. I always think of that one god awful space race episode from the final season when I think of episodes concerning any of the other characters.

I found it crazy when he could not stop chasing 7 of 9, he is a hologram with no junk and no sex drive but all the sudden he starts acting like a hormone ruled teenager.

The way he started thinking he could do no wrong and kept demanding more power like the whole emergancy command hologram thing was batshit crazy too. Asking for training to be in command or officier training I could see but thinking he could command the ship just cause he feels entitled was a no, even Harry Kim had training for that, you dont.
