That's not a solution in a world where we segregate based on men and women. It's also not a solution to those who've gone through the transitioning process.

If you're actually interested in fair competition, you should be for more granular criteria for competitive eligibility.

Life isnt fair. The same reason a blind person cant play football is the same reason why a MtF shouldnt play in womens sports. You cant always get what you want.

So you admit that this isn't about fairness to you. At least you finally let that pretense go.

Since when is competitive sports fair? Are we going to kick LeBron out of the league for being an athletic freak of nature?

There's nothing to suggest that, following proper standards, transgender athletes can't compete with cisgender athletes.

I don't typically want any group consistently dominating a sport, although we see it happening all the time in sports regardless.

But to both of you, the overall point is that we willingly overlook advantages that may be considered unfair to other participants. However, the moment we see something out of the norm, we are all too quick to label it unfair on reaction. Now, that reaction may prove to be justified later, but it isn't now. Not to mention the fact that regulations can be put into place to alleviate concerns regarding transgender athletes who are still in the early stages of transitioning.

perhaps rather than segregating by gender we should simply segregate sport leagues by athletic performance (per individual team selection criteria) as we do the gendered leagues in college athletics.

and then let each athlete play where they are capable. women who can make it to the top should play at the top, everyone will be playing against opponents of comparable skill.
