And they're getting too big.

I'm playing Just Cause 4 and while I'm enjoying it I feel the map is just TOO GODDAMN BIG for what little shit there is to actually do in terms of what actually accomplishes something not just endlessly dicking around with the mechanics.

Like I'd be happy if the map was a quarter smaller or fuck even half. I wish devs understood map size doesn't automatically equal the aize of the fun the player will have.

Yeah, it seems that many single player campaigns are shifting to an open-world format. I love open world, but it can be exhausting when its EVERY game.

Really hope casuals get sick of this open world stuff soon so we can go back to more focused and meaningful level design
