Dont think theres any games i COULD have played like that, but most obscure game that i really loved is maybe

Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors for GBC.

Sad that this never got a sequel on GBA. It had some damn awesome sprites for a GBC game.

The thing that i always hold down as its strongest ...uhh Strength? (Sorry, i had a mental vocabulary failure..) is the fact it actually covered the entirety of Z, AND had every important character playable, incl SSJ+SS3 Gotenks, and Super Vegito (Vegito Super Saiyan ingame)

Ill still hold up LSWs roster as the minimum roster a DBZ game needs.

Dont remember any examples, but i do remember feeling strongly about this.

Only thing i think is worth noting is the Kid/Teen Gohan bit where theres only one Kid/Teen Gohan but he has base-SSj and SS2, and im ok with games having Base Kid Gohan, and no Base Teen/Youth Gohan but only ss1 and ss2.

This is for absolute minimum of course.

Yeah, only game that I recall having the entire plot of Z before Tenkaichi was Legends on PSX. A game I only discovered in my early teens through the wonders of emulation.

Tried it out a bit.. didnt go very well...

Though on the note of JP Exclusive dbz games.

I just ordered a 32gb vita card from Playasia (my country hasnt sold the damn things in years and i have more than 16gb of stuff on it), if this goes well, i might use that site in the future for JP Exclusive dbz games.. IF the console is region free... like the switch..

That is, if the Switch heroes game doesnt go GLB (it was rated in Australia)

Phantom 2040 for SNES (it was on Genesis too though I think)

Every time I mention it, nobody fucking knows about it. They don't even know about the TV show it was based on, but apparently it was French and aired on UPN so since I'm like the only 90's kid who grew up poor on here apparently, I'm the only one who watched it.

I have that game, it's a pretty good platformer imo. The cartoon was also great.

Original Turbo is the best. Unlike 2, its settings are not historical. They take place in the past of when the game begins but still in our future. Basically, they're all kind of like that space station where you find Arthur. Speaking of, obviously there's no Arthur. Also it has less of the laughably bad live action stuff.

Pegasus Prime is the remake of 1, which I would recommend too. It modernizes the game to be more like 2, adds more lore and changes some of the puzzles around. Still doesn't quite have the same charm to me but that may be nostalgia speaking.

3 is kinda like 2 if 2 had actual live action cutscenes with awful as hell CGI (trust me, you've never seen CGI this bad) but it's also highly conversational, which was a really weird choice considering if you even get seen in 1 it destroys the universe or whatever. Also its settings are mythological, which was a cool move. Arthur is back.

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile

Bought it randomly, fell in love with it, and promptly bought Salt and Sanctuary the day it came out because of it (same studio)

It was basically like a really awesome version of those old new grounds flash "slaughter everyone" types of 2d side scroller beatemups games.

I would be shocked if anyone even recognizes the name. It was on XBLA

Decided against listing Japanese games, even though they have translation patches... Also only listed good games, mostly, so try'em out!

Dragon Spirit (NES) Shmup with hydra heads as power-ups, rocking soundtrack.

Krion Conquest (NES) Japanese version (Magical Doropie) is balanced better. Mega Man rip off.

Magic of Scheherazade (NES) Weird arabian Zelda, hella neat though.

Jewel Master (Genesis) Favorite sega game, kinda like Mega Man. More good music.

Dragon View (SNES) Incredible action RPG, Ys fans should love it.

Super Valis IV (SNES) Great music, fast platformer with a sword and lots of powers.

Evolution Worlds (GameCube) Don't remember much but its a good weeb RPG.

Dr. Franken (GB) Kinda bad, but it was a metroidvania from my childhood, finally beat it.

Magi-Nation (GBC) Pokemon the Gathering, had a cool card game in the 90s.

Survival Kids (GBC) Links Awakening with crafting, its amazing.

Sigma Star Saga (GBA) Zelda with lasers and shmup random battles.

Guardians Crusade (PS1) RPG with Smash Bros-like assist trophys.

Legend of Legaia (PS1) RPG with fighting game-like special moves.

Threads of Fate (PS1) 2D action RPG, generic but so fun & charming.

Black Rock Shooter (PSP) weeb RPG with a reflex based battle system.

Surf Ninjas (GameGear) pretty standard beat'em up, still fun.

Odallus the Dark Call (Steam) a "retro" castlevania like game with powerups that lead to new areas in old levels.

Spellcaster for the 8-bit Sega Master System. Great action RPG I played as a kid that had an awesome story and cool action. The craziest thing about this is that years later as an adult, I found out Spellcaster is based on a manga called the Peacock King (A.K.A: Spirit Warrior). The big difference is that Spellcaster is pretty much a PG rated game (with a few PG-13 moments). The damn manga is this fucked up NC-17 type story (they cut all the more fucked up stuff out of the Sega Master System game, for obvious reasons). There is also an anime, but the anime is more rated R (granted, there is a rape scene in one of the anime movies where an invincible ghost is raping a female reporter which feels NC-17 like the manga, but most of the anime is rated R). Regardless of heavy censorship making the game more PG (with some PG-13 moments), Spellcaster (based on the Peacock King / Spirit Warrior) is still an awesome game with a cool story:
