Because they're batshit insane, I loved this company when I was a teenager. Now the more stuff I hear about F76, the less interested I am in TES:VI.

I think this generation is really showing Bethesda's flaws. This game has been getting heat since release, F76 tarnished their reputation for this as its should.

Honestly the excuse that people keep making is that... hey it is fun with friends. But everything is more fun with friends. And if they say .. it's ok I just like exploring and don't like all that story telling stuff. There are mods that let you explore more.

Some of the defenses I've seen border on completely delusional.

I've seen F76 fanboys not only claim that holotape exposition is as effective a storytelling method as interacting with characters, but also that talking with NPCs is "boring" and that holotapes and computers are a better way of delivering the story.

For a normal publisher.. just 1 of these things would happen and people will be talking about for a while. Beth has done all of these things and more. It is not milking it if there is point.
