Stop crying immediately and go to sleep. Works when she is throwing a tantrum as well. She will just say "daddy (or mommy) eat gecko?" and we tell her we can can can only if she is sleeping.

The past 3 nights she has been in bed and and sleeping by 815. Before that we would be fighting with her after 10. 2.5 years old, hopefully this will be effective for a while.
