I can't imagine, in 2018, some new person actually deciding to create a GameFAQs account. Between the rise of reddit for online communities and YouTube for video game walkthroughs, what possible reason would anyone have to join GameFAQs?

yeah, at least any new accounts on ce are alts. maybe new people come to the game boards occasionally but one doesnt just show up here

It's a fair assumption. Just sucks for the actual new users as their posts get discredited for potentially being somebody's alt. Happened to me all the time when I first started posting here.
