Some people (good people) realize that when they are caught after breaking the law they should serve their time and not waste societal resources on dumb manhunts while adding crimes to their rep sheet and lowering the mood of cops in the community who have to deal with your B.S. and end up taking it out on everybody. But you can be sure if cops start actually oppressing people or are ordered to break the law by a tyranical government, I would no longer comply with officers as they are no longer operating within the confines of the contitution and are thus stripped their rights to police the community.
