Idk it did when it first came out, but now it works upstairs and outside in places where my phone loses connection to the router sometimes

Is that with the Joycons attached, or separate? If they are separate, it could be that the limited hardware is having difficulty managing so many wireless connections. If they are still attached, just go ahead and blame it on the limited hardware anyway.
