I just hate having the same music over and over year after year. It gets old quick.

I actually have amazing roommates and the money I'm saving on rent compared to my old apartment has made me decide to budget $20 to get both of them a gift. So basically a scented candle and steam card lol.

But otherwise, I don't normally do anything besides get myself like a fancy outfit piece or video game and call it my gift to myself. This year's gift being I'll actually pre order the fancy online only edition for the tales of vesperia remaster. Birthday present will be Kingdom Hearts 3. Or vice versa.

I love it. It's fun to go to the theater and watch Christmas movies like Miracle on 34th Street, Die Hard, and It's a Wonderful Life. To see all of the lights. To listen to the seasonal music that comes around for about six weeks out of the whole year. And to just experience the general magic that's in the air.

- Malls are packed
- Roads get busier, traffic everywhere
- Have to spend money on gifts
- Annoying Christmas lights hurt my eyes, can't even walk down the street without this pollution
- Christmas music is garbage
- Spending time with family - fuck!
- Cold, snow everywhere

It was a good pagan holiday where everyone had fun. Even Christianized(unless they decided to hate Jews that particular year), it was a blast. Since it went corporate over 60 years ago and digital 10-20 years ago, it makes me sick with each passing year.
