Its like playing 3d chess, you have to move one step quicker than you're used to, can't tell you how many times i've shield dodged and my character ended up shield dodging again instead of attacking when the guy was in perfect position to get hit, so matches turn into who can shield dodge attack the most

True, my connection is pretty bad. Not the servers or anything because nobody has ever complained about Nintendos multiplayer servers

Okay, now can anyone with the game give me their experience? It's not unplayable but it's not ideal either. I can still play and have fun but idk just feels like any victories/losses i get are due to network luck instead of skill

Pretty sure it's p2p. That's just how latency works for fighting games. They could build a system to where there's no input lag, but you'd get hit by stuff that doesn't look like you should have been hit by. So instead, they opt for input lag so what players see on screen is what is actually happening. It will always be like this.
