Even if that was true (never heard of it) Vegeta is only a little stronger (not counting Blue Evo/KaioKen or UI)

Movie Gogeta stomps. There has never been a speed to that degree anywhere else in the entire franchise. Plus Stardust Breaker seems ridiculously powerful and might even be a one hit KO.

Gogeta in the movie is way faster than anything else in the series. Vegetto cant even touch him.

There's never really been any evidence that having to lower your power level for the dance actually makes it a weaker result than Potara. The fusion just needs that symmetry to form. Not sure if Old Kai actually said Potara was stronger. He said some vague comment like "Because they're rivals, it's even better". The same thing could apply to the dance, who knows.

Not sure what you're basing this on but Goku and Vegeta are far stronger during the fight with Broly than they were during the Zamasu arc. So we can't really compare them without seeing how strong a Broly arc Vegetto is.
