Some people believe it's literal history, for example. Others think that it's symbolic, or was a motivational message to Christians of the time who were being persecuted by the Roman government.

Any story--especially one that is said to be God-breathed--that features end times, dragons, many horns, and plagues that destroy the Earth is a fascinating one, indeed.

I think the difficulty with this explanation is that it relies on being able to pick any part of the Bible are allegorical and which are literal. The book itself is very clear that it is a matter of fact, and you can't say any of the Old Testament is allegorical because it contains the supposed chronology from Adam to Jesus (through David). The Bible is also pretty explicit about things like Noah's Ark, the Tower of Babel, the 12 Plagues, and the Exodus. Obviously, those can't be literal, but it comes off as illogical to pick out all the parts that are false and say those are allegorical but the other parts aren't.

Also, I asked in another topic, but you never answered; are you trying to evangelize here or are you looking for a Christian community to discuss these things with? If it's the former, it's a bit obnoxious. If it's the latter, there is better places to discuss this. Or is this just a weak troll/gimmick?
