Most of my time is spent-handholding them through simple bullshit. Getting daily phonecalls from the MD of a 10 person company asking a million inane questions. Having a business owner screaming at me over a $100 invoice. Having to be their marketing, IT and accounts consultant all in one.

Meanwhile the big clients, i.e. the ones that actually pays my wage more or less take care of themselves. The people who call already know what they're doing. The money has already been pre-approved. If anything escalates the departments are so compartmentalised that no one has the energy to fight over it. If the CEO calls then I know its a big problem, but that almost never happens.

I'm sure business peeps of CE can relate. Looking at my time spent over the month wondering why the hell I even pick up the phone half the time.
