The amount of freedom and build-specialization it allows is impeccable while still keeping up the pace of a more streamlined action RPG. The options with computer terminals and reprogrammed droids and what have you are a near perfect realization of the your imagination and your stats are the only limit aspect of pen & paper RPGs, and the depth of every interaction (and the cartoonish extremes of some of your dialogue options) are again a beautiful representation of how an actual D&D campaign could play out.

Every time I think of this game I get a little fuzzy inside tbh

I've had both of the KOTOR games in my steam library for years and never played them. Always forget about them. Same with Jade Empire

It's a shame we won't really see a game with this system on that scale again. It'll forever be a CRPG thing now.

I think the combat in 1 is overall better. 2 was fun but you get overpowered really quickly.

I dont remember myself because its been so long since I played

But you can neuter your characters effectiveness by allocating stats wrong at character creation

I haven't played it on Apple but the Android port is pretty good

i played kotor again for the first time since like, high school not long ago and the writing was seriously groan-worthy. The game itself was fun like all of Bioware's NWN engine games, but jesus did Obsidian blow them out of the water in the narrative department with KOTOR 2, half-finished game or not
