Our original assumption of Snake/Zelda being a legitimate breaking of the Noble Nine might have to be reconsidered because Zen posted a screenshot on Discord showing several hentai rallies on Reddit that all had at least 100 points or more. Zen forgot to censor the image URLs in the screenshot, so I can't repost the original screenshot without getting modded for it.

Snake had rallies too and minor rallies are considering acceptable.

Also the Noble Nine has been broken in so many ways that the excuses get ridiculous.
Tifa > Sephiroth could be chalked to weird rSFF but at this point, you could have all NN lose first round for the next 10 contests and people would still find excuses.

I think we can just go ahead and say that Tifa was the one who officially broke the Noble Nine.

For sure, but if the final numbers were as big as those reddit upvotes imply, this rally went well beyond a "minor" label. That's way more success than anything else people have tried to get reddit interested in this year, even Monika or Waluigi or Tifa on those same boards.

To be clear I'm still considering Zelda's NN breakage as legit. Just sayin', that image has me reconsidering which way to go on the runback...

I submitted multiple sprite variations for each character, actually. LTTP Ganon was in the queue. Snake's purple sprite (http://www.gamefaqscontests.com/gallery/albums/cb2k6/cb553.jpg) was in there too. His sprite that was used today is perfectly fine.

Every single Snake sprite in existence looks terrible (especially in comparison to his regular pics). Some Ganon pics look okay, but some people consider Ganon to be a different (and less liked) character than Ganondorf. That sprites hurt Snake/Ganondorf is undebatable.

So those rallies would explain why Snake never managed to start building a lead during the night. I honestly think Zelda will just get them again if she has to deal with a runback. But hey, who knows, maybe we'll see something different!

We might get a chance to prove that sprites hurt some characters. It's already known that the first Cloud/Crono match will have sprites and there's a chance that we can get a rematch in Losers to test this out. Crono or Cloud simply have to get past the winner of Mega Man/Pikachu in Losers and we get the rematch again.
