...early the next Nintendo console?
The N64 had 2 main series Zelda games; the Gamecube had 1 or 2, depending on how you look at it; the Wii had 1 or 2; the Wii U basically had 1; the Switch has had 1 so far. I think, given the fact that BotW was a launch title, they'll be enough time to develop and release a new main series Zelda game for the Switch, assuming the Switch gets the standard 5 year life cycle. This, of course, is a good thing. If I had to guess, I'd say the game would come out in the 4th year for the console, which is basically 2020. You know, it was great when we got 2 main series Mario games for the Wii, and also NSMBW. Those were happy times for Mario fans. ... Copied to Clipboard!

We'll probably get another within 4 years. I kinda hope it's a 2D ish overworld Zelda like ALBW though.

It really depends what the designers want to do and what form the next Nintendo system will take. If it is going to have a unique interface/control system they'll probably design the game to make use of that to help promote it.

I would be surprised if it wasn't another open world, really big game. With some important differences to BotW, though, otherwise people will complain quite a lot. Sadly, that takes years to make...but they've probably already been developing it for 18 months.
Maybe. I must admit, I've always been a bit lukewarm about the series, but BotW was excellent. Definitely better than OoT, WW and MM. ... Copied to Clipboard!
