Only if the next Fallout is called Fallout 468 and allows me to walk through the land but they take out the annoying enemies and loot that they kept in 76.

Their Space game sounds like a good environment but Im just worried about the bugs. If it's Fallout 4/Skyrim in Space I'll be happy. but if it's 76 in space I just won't get it and move on to the next game on my want list.

Yes. One mistake can be forgiven. If their next title is another shitty online, or they've clearly neglected it to milk the F76 cash cow, that's when I'd stop trusting them if I was a fan of them in the first place.

Kinda like how I wasn't bothered at all by FF11 - it was simply a game that didn't interest me and never posed as something that might - but when FF12 turned out shit, and FF13 followed suit, that's when I stopped trusting Square.

Every company makes mistakes. This was a huge mistake on their part but that doesn't mean we should just turn our backs on them.

I think dishonored was developed by Arkane, just published by Bethesda.

May be a bit strawman-y but...

Bethesda's reputation of "let the modders fix it" I think is finally dying out. They can regain my trust, but only if they develop a new engine and get some coherent coders/modelers to build it and maintain it (or whatever they need to make a project not held together by duct tape).

Like, using an engine for a decade isn't a bad thing, if it can be maintained. Freaking Valve did that with Half life and Portal, but their engine actually works.

I've purchased every mainline Bethesda game at launch besides F76

I will not be buying ESVI or Starfield at launch unless the reviews are amazing.

Bethesda has spent up most of the goodwill they had with me. Fallout 4 killed it, and Fallout 76 was the nail in the coffin.

Eh, one shit show didn't ruin my trust, although I will be more skeptical of the next Elder Scrolls game. If they force in online play, or micro-transactions, or are just generally quiet up to the release then I will be even more skeptical.

But in all honestly Elders Scrolls 6 will be a day 1 buy unless they fuck it up.
