If it were to be reattached as if it never got removed, as in phased back on unscratched and I only had to go through a 24 hour window of horror I could maybe consider it.

Even then... just a mereist brush of a towel or something in certain spots of it make me go into a phantom pain defense mode.

Not gonna do it if it has to be sewn on with modern tech, because there's still scarring and the recovery process. If it was instead just a really really really bad nightmare you had to suffer I'd still have a hard time accepting that. I guess on the plus side you could just go into shock and pass out after a while.
