My work tried to implement a no cellphones rule. The only thing that did was cause a massive increase in the amount of times people were going to the bathroom. There used to be a guy that would go to the bathroom 10 times a day, every single day.

Funny. Lots of people in out management do this. They sent out some big group text message about how phones and earphones are prohibited and that they'll remove people from the building if they see them using it. That's not extreme at all

my workplace has a no cellphones too but literally nobody follows it. I got caught like 3 times and they just told me to put it away and to do work. So to spite them i just went on reddit on the pc anyway

Yeah, most places just have a do not use while working policy and for the most part the only places that outright ban them are jobs where having a phone causes safety or security issues. My uncle has worked at places where anything that has a camera on it is banned, which means like 99% of all cellphones.

My office does too because we work directly with people's card info, SSI, credit info etc. I try not to use my phone in front of the agents unless it's for business.

I go that many times or more every day at work and I don't even use my phone. I have to piss and shit a lot, and I work 10-12 hours.

I wont use my phone when at my desk but away in the little filing room out of the way of everyone unless they look through the window or come in, sure.

I asked my boss about my performance cuz I was trying to get a raise and she said one of the only issues she had with me was that I was on my phone too much lol

I told myself I'd try to git gud at not being on my phone but zero fucks given today

I just do it when no one is looking. Never got caught.
