I am thinking about the fact that I hate that you have to start as yoshi. when I play it, I rush to unlock Mario and never look back. all the extra DS content sucks IMO. that's why I prefer the n64 version

I love the original game but am not a fan of the DS version because of all the extra "chuffa" that they added to it.

Just feels awkward and out of place

I remember this guy in Toys R Us convincing me and my dad that I needed to buy it and I needed the thumb strap to play it. Played maybe 20 minutes of it. Total ass.

Might just be me, but I had more fun with the minigames than the actual game. It definitely controlled much better on N64.

I have some great middle school memories of screwing around with that games glitches - I also liked the areas they added where you obtained new playable characters. Still not as good as the original, though.

Had potential to be far superior to the N64 version but the terrible controls hold it back.

This is one of the most baffling gaming things for me. I barely noticed a difference in the controls. If anything it was maybe even a little easier on DS since you're less likely to veer off in a different direction or go wobbly as can happen with analog.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones to be able to still enjoy it.

The touch screen being a makeshift control stick was weird. No feedback meant I would drag the dead zone with me (why the hell could you do that anyway?).

Imagine not liking 64 DS over 64. Nostalgia blinders aside, 64 has nothing on 64 DS. An actually usable camera is WAY better than a thumbstick.
