Stop it.

Eh, I take pride in acknowledging that none of us have all the facts. Im not hardheaded and don't think I know everything that happened based of a video with little context. You however, seem to pick a side and not think outside the box you put yourself in.

He means that you should look at my sig. Add "might of"/"might've" (contraction of "might have") to it.

yea they just moved out of his way. thats why he had to push them. thats why a mcdonald worker had to try and hold one back. thats why a gun had to be drawn.

why are they in a line behind him when they were the ones who ordered first. since thier inability to pay was what started the mess.

What kind of person are you to think that a gun had to be drawn here?

You don't need to be so defensive. I wasn't using you as an example. I was saying that I see these types of errors on a daily basis. I was already in my 30s when I first saw this exact mistake. I see it like weekly at least now. Misuse of there/their/they're, it's/its or other more common errors, associated with autocorrect especially, used to be relatively rare. I see them daily now. It just frustrates me how little effort some people put into language. Like "might of" and "might've" require the same number of caps/keystrokes, and if you have have autocorrect on, you can sometimes skip the apostrophe and have it get corrected in, saving 1 tap/keystroke, making it take more effort to do it wrong than right.

Im not gonna lie about backpedaling being something I do. Because it's one the learning processes I use. I type up a half assed thought I don't fully believe in and wait for someone to give me better information. If it works then I just tricked someone into giving me information while they get to feel good about being right. People are way more likely to give you information if they can throw it in your face.

Im not gonna lie. It's manipulative. But everyone wins so...

Also, props on being the 1st to call me on it. I thought I was gonna be outed waaay before this

I would have to disagree, if you do that to most people they will tell you its manipulative as yourself have said and to not to do it again. But hey if you feel the need to be manipulative to get information out of someone than just being genuine and upfront, go for it. I personally wont do it because I know most people wont respect me for doing that to them, and I would respect their wishes in how they want to be talked to. Treat others as you would treat yourself and all that.

What would you have me say instead then?

Anything other than "I feel bad for you". Imagine someone says that to you for a minor thing you did. How you feel about that?

Okay so like what then? What would have been a better way to convey acknowledgement that you were having difficulties with something I can't relate to? I appreciate that you're coming from a positive and helpful angle here, but some examples would give me more to go on. Also, for the record, I used to the word defensive mostly because you called the other guy a dick and said you would keep it up to annoy him.

I actually can't think of a replacement for "I feel bad for you" just cause it's so far from an expression Id use. I have a deep reason for that but Im not trying to talk about it atm >_>. Wish I could give a better answer but it's just not hitting me

Okay, well I apologize in any case. As I said, the situation is one to which I can't relate, so if I'm insensitive about it, it's just because I don't understand it. The misunderstanding goes both ways though.

Yeah. Don't worry, I feel like a dick for coming at you like a less than reasonable person. There was a lot going on in this topic lol
