I love how weird dreams can be.

Last night, I dreamt a vampire was stalking outside my window. I looked over at my dresser drawer and realized that I didn't have a crucifix with which to defend myself. Hence, the utterance in the topic title.

In the context of the dream, it seemed like a negligent move on my part. Like I'd forgotten to lock the door against potential robbers or something. I imagine crosses and other religious icons would be hot sellers all over if vampires actually existed.

Only if they worked. Then again, Big Vampire would purport the myth that holy iconography works, just to suck the money out of people, and lull them in to a false sense of security. They are devious!
