You say this like this is unique to reddit. Cyberstalking is nothing new and commonplace on GameFAQs. The only difference is that you cant change your privacy settings on Reddit.

I get cyber stalking but searching someone's account so you can find something that makes them look bad solely to get an edge up on an online argument? that's just weird. the only website where something like that happened to me was Instagram, and it happened ONCE

I don't care about my fake Internet points though but it is kinda hilarious and sad how one individual gets so pissed off for some reason they go on a downvote-rampage on all your posts and comments.

This happened to me for the first time just a couple days ago. Some dude called me out for only posting on this one sub, saying that it must hurt me that my only purpose on reddit is this sub. When I informed him that I only post occasionally on reddit and don't use any other social media site except youtube he told me that I clearly have nothing to offer reddit, lol.

I didn't even realize posting history was public and can't be hidden.

All upvotes and downvotes are is a pissing contest meaning rather than upvoting good posts all that gets upvoted is comments that are very clearly made just for said upvotes. I too take no notice.

Sometimes its necessary to go into someone's post history to see if you're dealing with a troll. But that should only take the first few entries. Anyone who puts any meaningful time into going back and finding things to hassle you about like that is just really pathetic.

Happens on Facebook when their profile isn't set to private. People go to your likes and dislikes, old, post, etc. And on here, people will look at topics you posted in, boards you go to, topics you made, etc...
