Here's the deal.

I'm in the left lane because 50 meters from now there's a traffic light. I have to turn left at that light.

I can't turn left from the middle lane.

What's that? I'm only going 10 mph over the limit and you want to go 20?

GOD DAMMIT LEFT LANE = FAST LANE IS FOR HIGHWAYS IT DOESN'T APPLY TO INNER CITY STREETS WITH TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS

I was going 80 on the highway with this huge truck tailgating me. I finally got an opening to move to the right. As soon as I started to merge, the guy starts driving on the shoulder so he can pass two seconds earlier. At one point, we were splitting the left lane. It's infuriating that there aren't more consequences for aggressive drivers.

If I'm going above the speed limit and someone is tailing me no matter what lane I'm in, I just ignore them and keep my speed, it's their problem to deal with now.

On city streets, I hate that people choose to treat the middle lane as the slow lane. Naturally, you'd expect those in the left and right lanes to likely be turning, that's why through traffic would be in the middle lane. And it grinds my gears even more when that person cruising in the middle waits til like 150 feet before the intersection to switch lanes so they can turn, causing traffic in another lane, if they didn't decide to also come to a complete stop because they didn't properly plan and need to traffic pass.

Point is, there are a lot of idiots out on the road.

i remember once in some dense traffic, the dude behind me honked literally 0.5 seconds after it turned green. like i remember looking at the light, it turns green, i moved my foot and BEEEEEP. i look in the mirror and the guy is gesturing like WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU

huh????

so i was like fuck this dude and started to just inch forward as slooooow as i could and drive signifigantly slower than the other lanes. since the other lanes were full of cars cuz of the traffic, he was stuck.

i did this for a good 2 blocks.

This used to fluster me a bit when I was younger but now I literally ignore them. You don't really have to pay attention to things behind you when driving

What can they do? Nothing

well i usually look behind me to see if i can brake and not get rear ended when approaching a yellow light or something.

What baffles me is when people tailgate other cars, who are behind other cars, in the fast lane.

It's obvious the car people are tailgating can't go any faster because there's two or three cars in front of him who aren't going any faster.

Tailgaters are really horrible people. They kill people. No one can react quick enough traveling at 70 or 80mph 3 feet right behind someone's ass.

As a result, we see some of the wrecks we see. Absolute stupidity.

Then there's the ones in the city on access roads. Oh wow, you just had to speed around me like a bat out of hell when you knew the light ahead was red anyways. Now we're right next to each other waiting at the light, which was already red to begin with. Congratulations.

I don't have sympathy for tailgaters. It's an obvious, stupid thing to be doing on the road.

I used to get mad but now I just let them pass, pacer car if there's any cops ahead. I'm usually speeding anyway so they have to be going fast to tailgate.

I have ran into a few tailgaters though that when I move to let them pass they don't, which is a whole new annoyance. Then I come up to the next car in my lane, get back over and speed up, then they tailgate again. Like, fuck off. Pass or get back.

They're both potentially dangerous. We could benefit from a system for reporting bad drivers. Get these people off tune road, if only for a few weeks at a time.
