I'm about to join a new gym and they said I can join anytime but I can choose to be charged on the 1st or 15th of the month. I never heard of this before. Is it a common practice? I would've asked them to get more details but I don't feel like it now. Would I get an extra 15 days if I joined on the 1st of the month then ask them to charge my card on the 15th?

what's not to get? You get charged once a month, and you can choose for it to come out on the 1st or 15th. I'm assuming there is some sort of enrollment fee?

Probably so that their autodraft isnt coming out on a whole bunch of different days. Its a lot easier to keep up with

Yeah, at Planet Fitness I think it's on the 17th of every month. If you join on Nov. the 18th, you won't have to pay until December 17th. If you join Nov. 16th then you'll owe for Nov. 17th.
