The demo was horrible and is functionally just the tutorial. The full game is way better. The demo does not give an accurate representation of the full game.

Steam is expected to have some kind of Autumn/Black Friday sale this week so you could always wait for that and see how low it drops (assuming it goes on sale). Then if you buy it and don't like it you can always refund it within 2 hours of playtime.
