I had all my teeth removed thanks to getting a really shitty disease. Majority of them were pulled during a surgical procedure I was not awake for, however I had plenty of removals that I was.

It's not that bad- the shots are the worst part, and the pressure and "crack" if they remove them while you're awake. The pain if you don't get on the Narcs fairly quickly is extreme- don't let the anesthesia drop off before taking those meds. The pain will be sharp and lasts a couple days, stay on the meds for that time. Afterward it drops off, becoming easily handled by OTC meds if necessary.

The recovery is simple, but the Narcos you'll be on following the procedure will drain the shit out of you.
Don't worry about the blood- you're going to ooze for days. That has a bad taste, keep a FLAVORED DRINK [soda, Gatorade, something. Not straight water] at the ready at all times. Sure, some are going to say "drink water", but blood and the taste of it can/will cause nausea and potential vomiting- don't skimp that.

Dry Socket though, that's a different story. That's some insane pain that utterly sucks and it'll floor you for a week or more. It'll set in like right after the recovery seems done, then boom, pain far worse than the original. l

I believe I had 6 removed at once, while kept asleep.

It was just a really annoying physical thing to go through, especially tasting blood and being pretty much unable to eat for a couple of weeks. Not memorably painful or scary in my case.

I'd rather go through that again than a number of other things, I had Mono a few months later and remember that being much worse...

Dentures with Implants.

There's a lot of things I can eat without my Dentures in, actually though. Anything that isn't really chewy or really crunchy, really- stuff like bread, most meats [steak is a no go though as is ham and sadly bacon], eggs, potatoes, pasta, some fruits.

As long as I don't need any cutting force to eat, I'm usually good.

Haven't had Jello since like... the week following the extraction, actually, and have had periods without my dentures [cause they broke].

For every 10 IQ above average you need an extra wisdom tooth to store it in
