They just added direct challenge (vs.) mode a few days ago but I don't know anybody else that plays it. It's a pretty cool game and free

stopped playing magic when they refused to release DotP on ps4.

"it has issues on x-box, we want to fix it before releasing it on ps4"

never did....
also never released the pc one on ps4. (not the pay-to-win one)

Hmm, I didn't know about that. This one has some improvements over what I remember from DotP. You can build your own deck and unlock lots of pre-made decks. There's optional stuff to pay for but you can play and participate in the special events for free

I'm glad they added versus, but it's still very cumbersome to use, they really need to add a friends list.

I've been playing it. Not a fan of the business model, but I've played MTG for years and it's a fun game to grind while I have something else going on in the background. It helps that the standard format is really good right now, you can play budget decks and a nice variety of strategies without feeling too punished for it.

Yeah I don't really want to buy anything. Freemium games are weird. But you can earn enough coins to play the events and buy packs for free. So it's not that bad Kevman510 posted...

I agree that it's kind of an awkward way to implement it. Both players needing to paste each other's names in and wait. Even just saving favorite people to challenge would be an improvement. But they were probably trying to get the MVP out to make the users happy (or possibly move on to developing something else)

It does retain your friends' names after you challenge them though, but it's still really awkward.

Cant stand the tapping system on there, Ill stick to mtgo instead. Dont know why they didnt just build off ideas from the duels but when they were questioned on that piss poor tapping they fucking had the audacity to say there was no other option.

What don't you like about it? Most of the time the auto tapping is fine for me but you can tap them manually too

Arena is yeah. It is more like paper magic. You can build your own decks from cards, and you earn wildcards to trade for any card you want of a certain rarity. I probably won't pay any money but it's still fun to play

im so mad the direct vs doesn't have best of 3 with sideboard like actual magic, just fucking quickplay like we are in the stone age

Oh really? I barely noticed that but maybe if you're really used to it being sideways it'd be annoying. I think it looks fine though
