Did anybody ever make a L4D ripoff that's basically the same thing/quality?

The only other thing I've played that was L4D like was Rainbow Six Siege's outbreak event.

And yeah, the Half Life formula is so dated now that a HL3 would either feel too retro and feel more nostalgic than a genuine sequel or they would innovate the formula and create mass havoc.
