The dungeon designs are also less frustrating than SMT1, there's nothing quite on the level of the cathedral in SMTII. SMT1 is still great, but SMTII takes it a step beyond. The only thing that II does worse is gameplay balance, and it's not that I had good balance to begin with, but MAG is pretty annoying to balance in II. --- "That's not a character, that's a set of bondage gear that can cast Ice 2." I stuffed the living hell out of my dragons and barely paid attention to my main characters. It's basically "max all stats except Loyalty". Though I wasn't aware of the Loyalty thing for a while and just ran around with Uni Unis for a while. Which wasn't dreadful for a while; sure, a lot of whiffing on attacks, but when they hit they hit fucking hard.
