Dogs die peacefully within 10-15 years if they're lucky, and if they dont die in that timespan they are almost 90% going to die incredibly painfully.

The average human will live upwards of 45 years, and impact over 10x more people's lives than your dog ever will. As a person who's grown up with 5 dogs over my lifetime, dogs are so much less important when it comes to the context of life.

Its ridiculous how attached people get to animals, placing their life above a completely innocent human child.

There is something wrong with you if you value the life of a pet/possesion over another person.

If someone chose the life of their child over my pet I would be sad but understand completely and hold no ill will towards that person. If that person chose the life of their fucking dog or cat over my child I would murder that person slowly.

Toddler easily

It is a person.

It is a simple act of empathy. The dog is replaceable. I have had 4 in my life. Losing my toddler niece would be horrid.

I would not want another person to feel that way if they lost a toddler, knowing I could prevent it.

I think your dogs would understand. They are selfless creatures.
