Guess I'm sick then. Because I value the being I put time, money, and emotional care in over the being I have no investment in whatsoever.

You know like, imagining how virtuous you can be in hypothetical life-or-death scenarios that will literally never come to exist isn't actually a core part of anyone's being. I know you guys like to post about it.

So you're all saying that instead of saving a childs life you'd pick your pet? And so many of your wonder why you're alone.

Everyone knows how to make more humans.

But can any humans make more pets? I thought not.

No, you're the sick one. So if you family member that you loved was in this same situation you'd chose your pet? You're disconnected from reality and I hope you never reproduce. Your parents should have adopted a pet instead of slither you out.

Think about it this way, there are bad people, but no bad pets. Even if there are pets with bad traits, there are no pets that would commit genocide or mass murder

This is a really bad comparison. How about the rabbit packs of dogs in other countries countries that literally tear people apart?

If it was MY child vs my pet, then yeah I'm saving my kid.

But a random kid that I have no investment in? Sorry but I'm going after the pet in a quick-life-or-death situation. You can tell yourself you would always pick the stranger but if you had a real attachment and investment in your pet, your body may act different.

Not that this scenario is relevant anyway because most people, myself included, would realistically attempt to save both.

Okay, then imagine a pack of homeless people, who are starving and strive to survive.
You can't, because human life is valued more than dog's life. But if there was feral humans, then they would act like rabid dogs or worse

Well to be fair there is a hierarchy among humans. For example, homeless are on the same level as pets. While functional members of society that pay taxes and make the economy strong are better.

There's a weirdly strong correlation between holding the ill-conceived idea that human life is objectively more valuable than that of any other animal, and having some sort of social problem.

Like, they either fall into aggressively arrogant bullshit statements, or they start making open threats toward other users over this shit.

My dog would tackle a bear to give me a few extra seconds to get away.
Most humans would gleefully let me die if it means cutting five minutes off their commute to work. Ofc I'm going to value my dog's loyalty over the happiness of most human beings. And tbf if he's barking at someone at night they probably are up to no good. The police don't do fucking anything about the meth-heads breaking into people's cars at night in this town arcanine.

What if he barks at an African American? Are they all "up to no good"?

I absolutely do not agree

for starters, there's a long history of comparing marginalized people to animals in an attempt to dehumanize them
