Not one thing that the society has to offer is worth it all. The strength of this belief in me is astonishing, I never thought I actually believed in something ideologically, that much, until I fully realized what horror this necessity to work in order to physically survive is.

The people that are so happy with their jobs, families, friends, relationships.... they look utterly miserable for the majority of the day. Their jobs afflict their whole lives, it never is just the 8 hours. That's why I deliberately say 24/7 because that's how much of their time their work is poisoning for them.

Majority of the people are in a mental state where one miniscule thing is enough to make them lose it. I guess it's the survival mechanism that makes them say "it was worth it", because in reality, nothing is worth one second of this torture.

If I followed such a person around and directed their attention to HOW MISERABLE THEY ARE for the majority of every single day they have to work, they would get a mental breakdown probably.

It hurts me that they perpetuate this misery. It actually hurts me. There is not even anger left in me. It's just the feeling of disbelief. To see miserable people who lie to themselves afterwards that it was great and thus willingly prolong their own and others' misery is devastating.

Ignoring the 24/7 hyperbole, his overall point is somewhat valid TBH.

It happens that the stage-sets collapse. Rising, streetcar, four hours in the office or the factory, meal, streetcar, four hours of work, meal, sleep, and Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday according to the same rhythm this path is easily followed most of the time. But one day the why arises and everything begins in that weariness tinged with amazement.

I've been through this phase (all valid points) and you reach a point where you just fall in line with it because what the fuck else are you going to do? Kill yourself? If you're going to live life, you have to play by its rules. And if you're smart enough, you can find your own ways to break the mold and find your balance. It'll never be perfect, nothing will be, so you really need to cut that toxic concept from your mind.

The whole point of working hard now is so you can live NEET for the remainder of your days.

Even if you're not dumping $ into retirement accounts or investing, If you can keep your cost of existence low once you stop working, you're golden, if you save enough.

You can live a life of purely consumption of products made by people who contribute to society while putting them down simultaneously

What about doing it for the joy of working? I know that sounds strange to some, but I miss the feeling of accomplishment when a job is done, and done well.

I've been disabled for a year, and I'm going nuts here at home. Not to mention the income that I've lost. Cant afford to go anywhere, or buy anything fun, stuck at home, this fucking sucks.

Torn between two minds. Is either correct? Perhaps together.....but how? Can it be done?

I'll always feel bad for people who can't enjoy video games.

Like they're the funnest and most fulfilling thing that I can do. No other activity measures up to them. They're perfect for me.

No - these guys have awoken to a plane of reality that the average wagecuck can't fathom. They've beat the system.
