I play ygopro from time to time, but I prefer the feel of playing with actual cards, and the experience of actually playing against a human being right in front of me.

Rofl I love Farfa, but I think he's being a tiniest bit too whiny since he hated the last several format, even though several of the YCSes recently have been the most diverse in years. But yes, Firewall needs to get banned. He's not even being summoned on the level of Stardust so I don't think banning him would be a big deal to the anime. They can also summon out a retrain of Firewall if need be

Duel Links is too complex to have the old Yugioh charm it had at launch.

Its also too simple to maintain the actually more bullshit than the original anime feel of modern Yugioh.

Not a fan.

Also the game itself sucks except for the amazing UI. Lol

Duel Links is its own format. It has its own metas and rulings, like mostly involving skills, which basically acts outside of the game. Like if you summon a monster with a skill for example, it's actually not considered a summon. It's almost like it just happened, meaning no cards that relates to activation on summon can be activated.

Also the ban list works like you have global bans. So a deck can only really use 2 copies of any card in the semi-limited list for example. If you wanted Enemy Controller and I dunno Amazoness Onslaught in the same deck, you can only put 2 copies combined of either of those cards (i.e. 1 Econ and 1 Onslaught). Which makes ban lists far more impactful than it ever does in TCG where the biggest impact comes from cards getting outright banned

It's not bad if you really get into it. There was a period of time where it was truly great but Konami saw how much money it was making and kinda fucked it up

Pendulum summoning you set two pendulum value cards on either side of your monster zone and you can freely summon pendulum cards within those values

Pendulum summoning does even more than that. When it's on the field and would be sent to the graveyard, you send it face up to your extra deck instead. When you pendulum summon, you get to summon mons from your hand and the extra deck. And in Master Rule 4, you can't freely pendulum summon from the extra deck unless it's in an Extra Monster zone that you can occupy or wherever zones your Link monsters point to. It's also once per turn.

Honestly, Pendulum when it's broke is just a recurring stupid monster of a mechanic that doesn't have that many response options. A lot of it stems from being immune to things that stop graveyard toolboxing, but also just Pendulum summoning mechanic as a whole, which is just a free Soul Charge every single turn. Meaning a lot of decks that just destroys a lot but doesn't have great closing power just loses to Pendulums inherently. They also just make it absurdly easy to search Pendulums generically and break other summoning mechanics. Konami's been trying to ween players off pendulums completely recently lol, so a bunch of bans led to them almost never being played
