Really? You stink up the league for a decade and this is all you can give me? a top heavy team with a big three who can't shoot and no legitimate role players?

lol

Boston did a better job and didn't have to suck for 10 years

They missed on so many high first round picks. Im not saying the picks were necessarily bad or incorrect when they made them, but its insane they dont have more talent.

That's what I'm saying. Boston still has a treasure trove of picks and actual talent and even LA seems to have done pretty well too. Kuzma, Ingram, Josh Hart, and Lonzo as a young core are *almost* better than anything Philly has right now

I dont think its necessarily a fair comparison though. Trust me, I dislike philly sports very much, but Boston got a huge jump start because they were able to get returns on aging pierce and Garnett. But Boston also has Horford to give that talented veteran leadership. Philly tried to get that last year with Reddick. But I felt that was missing from them for awhile.

And LA got Lebron, I guess thats a more fair comparison because LBJ did pick between philly and LA essentially. But LA seems like a place many players want to be, not as much for Philly.

I think that Phillys problem now is attitude. Butler has been a bad teammate at his last two locations. Ive never got the sense that simmons plays basketball because he loves it, just never seen a lot of passion from him. And Embiid is weird. Hes a great player as long as he avoids more injuries. However, maybe this is just as an outsider, but does he care more about The 6ers winning or about the Joel Embiid brand?

All this being said, Im a wizards fan. We are in far worse shape than you are so at least be happy about that!

Now, hindsight is 20/20, and had they made one or two of these picks, they probably wouldnt have had the same draft spots.. but the 76ers starting lineup right now could be

Ben Simmons
Jayson Tatum
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Kristaps Porzingis
Joel Embiid

They made the playoffs in 2012 pre-Process. It is more like half a decade.

They definitely whiffed on some draft picks but it's not as embarrassing as the between-LeBron-era Cavs. The league rigs a bunch of lotteries for them and they use top five picks on people like Anthony Bennett, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson. Kyrie was like the only good pick but he isn't even there anymore. And despite all those wasted picks (granted, some of those were just weak drafts in general) they got lucky and had LeBron come back anyway
