(not looking for medical advice as I don't need it, looking for personal experiences with certain meds)

Have y'all found that certain SSRIs are better/worse than others with regard to side effects?

I had to stop taking Lexapro (10mg) because of the horrendous side effects (constant nausea, dizziness, feeling out of my own body and very out of it mentally, ears ringing, etc) so they're switching me to Zoloft 25mg.

Any experience with regard to which meds have a better or worse side effect profile? Quite obviously, it's not a one size fits all concern, nor will one person's experience be predictive of my own. Just curious.

First time I took cymbalta I dry heaved. That was the worst one of the ones I tried as far as nausea goes. They all sort of do that to some degree I guess.

it was like half an hour before work and i was just clutching the toilet retching violently. idk how i made it through my shift

I started off on antidepressants and now I'm on meds for schizophrenia. Psychiatric medicine is absolutely horrible. You're better off with natural herbal remedies for depression otherwise you risk tumbling down the rabbit hole like me. Let me guess, the treatment plan is 2 years on an ssri during which they will slowly wean you off the drugs, right? By then your whole brain chemistry is going to be screwed up from those terrible drugs. Trust me, herbal remedies.

I'm on cymbalta right now and I don't know that it does anything for me other than make me feel like shit physically if I don't take it
