A big part of the lore of the game is about how, in the past, there used to be a thriving civilization with airships and robots and technology that had a floating castle in the sky.

There's also some dialogue about how, long ago, humans and dragons lived in harmony together.

And then, at the end of the game, you get to travel 1000 years in the past. However, even though you travel in the past, you can never get out of the temple.

I really wish we could've walked around a bit in the world when traveling to the past and see that great civilization they spent half the game telling us about ._.

Or I could just watch the Miyazaki movie Laputa, I guess.
