The Radovid assassination plotline. It's like they were rushed and cut it down when a bigger plot was intended.

Dijkstra is too clever to die like that. Not 10 minutes before he says he's not a fighter, and then at this part he decides to take you on...and roche...and ves...and thaller in a fight, by himself with 3 henchmen. The fuck is that?

If Dijkstra intended to plan a coup and kill roche and ves, he would have poisoned the wine.

That's what a lot of people who believed they were clever thought before they died.

The weirdest fucking part is you miss that entire quest if you make one wrong dialogue choice at one point in the story.

I agree. I was like "wait, what? I have to choose between Dijkstra and Roche? Get outta here with that"

Feels like there were about 4 or 5 side missions building up to that point that may have been cut.

I agree about that. It was too easy to miss side plot lines. I did everything on my first play through because I checked a guide to make sure I didnt miss anything, but on my second playthrough I completely missed the Radovid thing AND the romance sideline.

It makes sense if you opt to not help Roche. Witchers dont get involved so Dijkstra probably thought he was going to leave.

Only change Id make is have him offer you some stupid sum to leave, like 5000.

I missed it during my first playthrough.
But I literally completed the game in second. Even explored all the question marks in Skellige.

There are still people who don't have him on their ignore list? Interesting.

It's not contrarian bullshit. It's how tragedy works.

It makes absolutely no sense because he just got involved lol

Why would he invoke that rule after everything they did?

Dijkstra knew Geralt, though. He's no ordinary mercenary. He's emotional, stubborn and doesn't avoid a fight, and never cares about "the greater good". Nothing about Geralt would have suggested he'd walk out on his friends and leave them to die. Dijkstra knew that better than anyone.

There also was no driving force behind Dijkstra to make him overlook this obvious point. He wasn't in love or enraged or even drunk. He just did a typical "now I will have to kill you" game bullshit, which is totally against what made him such a cool character.
