By worst sad scene I mean ineffective, rotten, ham-fisted or contrived. Are there any? For me it was from Tomorrowland from 2015. I saw the scene while flipping through channels the other day. Not going to spoil it but there's a sad scene and I only thought "if this is the best of the movie then it's better to not continue watching."

Interstellar, all the stuff with Matthew Mcconaughey's character and his daughter. Total garbage, like it written by an alien who has no idea how human emotions actually work.

Nearly every Adam Sandler movie has a sudden, unnecessarily melodramatic tearjerker moment.

I dunno, but I've lost track. So many scenes that didn't move me at all. I suppose I might be dead inside, but I think it's mostly bad writing. And yeah, some of those scenes were cheesy and stupid.
