It's just another attempt to milk this way dated franchise. But they could have at least come up with a better art style, because this looks like it was made in Flash. DBS's super shiny shit was ugly, but this is even worse; drawing quality shouldn't be sacrificed for fluid animation. It's like they got the dudes who worked on that one scene from Naruto vs. Pain. This looks ugly.

Like SSJ2 and 3, it's mostly just a change in appearance and a power boost. What you call Red is SS God and grants them a different type of ki undetectable by non God ki users, Blue is like the SSJ2 version of that. Rose is exclusive to a villain who took over an alternate timeline Goku, his version of Blue basically.

Super Saiyan is a power multiplier.
Super Saiyan God (red)is a bigger multiplier with divine energy.
Super Saiyan Blue is an even bigger multiplier with divine energy, but saps more stamina to use.
Super Saiyan Rose is Goku Black's version of Super Saiyan Blue.

Super Saiyan Blue is an even bigger multiplier with divine energy, but saps more stamina to use.
Super Saiyan Rose is Goku Black's version of Super Saiyan Blue.

So all basically the same shit, but just stronger with each form.

To be fair, DB has always taken concepts from before and upped the ante. Using increased gravity to train in DBZ? The evolution of weighted clothing and the turtle shell on the back from Dragon Ball.

I mean, that is what each additional super saiyan form has always been. Now it's just also with a divine aura. Which doesn't seem to do anything but mask your power level from non-gods.

Don't forget Ultra Instinct being even stronger than Blue, Goku just has to learn how to actually use it at will, I hope that's soon because the longer it takes him the longer it takes games to let CAC characters have the transformation for themselves

No, that was pretty much just plot armor and it never happens again.

Later when they're blue they get stabbed through their bodies against Goku Black and then suddenly are able to continue fighting and kick ass just by getting angry., which also made no sense and has never happened before.

Yes, red can heal wounds but it never comes up much because the transformation is sparingly used compared to blue, which makes sense because the action is usually too fast for them to make use of red's healing ability meanwhile blue discards the healing for more power

in the manga however blue drains your stamina alot at least for vegeta it does, so he got around that by staying in red form then switching to blue for his attacks and reverting back to red effectively saving his energy and healing a little bit, of course because such a feat would be rather annoying to animate, Vegeta has since then masted blue to overcome the stamina drain like Goku has, in the manga apparently Vegeta's blue is stronger than Goku's so for once Vegeta finally beat him at something, at least until he ass pulled Ultra Instinct widening the gap between them yet again.
